Fundraising Tips

There are two easy ways to raise funds this year!

1. Manage your pledges online:

Bright Hope has made the pledge process easier than ever. You can create your own fundraising web page for the Run for Hungry Children. Your network of family, friends and co-workers can make their donations online.

They will receive your request and thank you via e-mail. Track your progress online and send your goals to your personal network. You can even create a fundraising team to raise funds as a group consisting of your family, friends and co-workers.

2. Pledge Form:

If you would rather take pledges with a pledge form, you can download an official Run for Hungry Children pledge form. Please turn in all pledge forms with donations at the event.

Put the "Fun" in your Fundraising Page

  • Add a photo of you: smiling, serious, funny, running, walking ... people want to give to you and your cause.
  • Personalize your story: Tell everyone why you chose to run/walk, how they can help, how you feel about poverty.
  • Email: Your friends, family, co-workers your page.
  • Social networks: Update your Facebook and Twitter regularly. Join Bright Hope's Facebook and Twitter - and the Run For Hungry Children Facebook page to stay updated!
  • Update often: Tell of the progress you've made, how much more you need to reach/pass your goal, etc.

Our partner in Pignon, Haiti, has established 17 schools in Pignon and the surrounding communities and was able to establish a School Feeding Program. Many of the students do not receive proper nutrition or even a basic meal before attending school and most would not be attending school at all if it were not for these programs. Currently, there are approx 2,500 students attending and each day, one meal is offered to every child that attends.
